A commissioned artwork is an opportunity to create something entirely personal — a one-of-a-kind work conceived and hand-drawn or hand-painted specifically for you.
Each commission is developed in close consultation, allowing me to understand your vision and the story you wish to capture.
From the initial conversation to the finished piece, I give each commission my individual attention, with the intention of creating something to be treasured for years to come.
The Commission Process
01 — The Consultation
Every commission begins with a private conversation.
We discuss your ideas, the subject or inspiration behind the work, your preferred aesthetic, colour palette, dimensions and where the artwork will ultimately be displayed.
You are welcome to share references, photographs, sketches or simply an idea you would like to explore.
02 — The Creative Direction
Following our consultation, I develop a considered creative direction for the artwork, refining the composition, mood, colour palette and overall visual language.
A quotation and estimated timeframe will be provided once the scope and requirements of the commission have been established.
A 50% deposit is required to secure the commission and reserve dedicated time within my studio calendar. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the artwork, prior to delivery.
03 — The Artwork
Once the commission is confirmed, I begin creating your artwork by hand. Each piece is individually drawn and painted, making every commission inherently unique.
I work exclusively with the finest archival-quality materials, carefully selected for their exceptional quality, longevity and ability to preserve the integrity of the artwork. I take the time to develop every detail, texture and nuance with care, creating a piece intended to be treasured for generations.
04 — The Finishing Details
Once complete, I carefully review and prepare your artwork for presentation.
Depending on your requirements, I can also discuss framing and presentation options to complement both the artwork and its intended setting.
05 — Your One-of-a-Kind Artwork
Your completed artwork is carefully packaged and delivered to you.
The finished piece is uniquely yours — an original work created specifically through our collaboration.
A Considered Investment
Because each commission is individually conceived and created, pricing is tailored to the scope of the work.
Factors such as size, complexity, materials and creative development are considered when I prepare your quotation.
